Become a Co-Producer

Easy Languages is operating on a franchise model. Our co-producers are based in different countries around the world and create videos in their local language according to our guidelines. When you join our network, we help you by sharing our production workflows and best practices. In addition to benefiting from our brand recognition, you’ll be in close contact with other co-producers and receive regular feedback about your work. We also provide remote and in-person training to help you improve your content.

What do I need to join
Easy Languages?

An eagerness for learning and self-improvement

Establishing your own Easy Languages production will require you to develop different skills, including media production, teaching and business skills. We love working with people who are eager to learn and feel comfortable receiving honest feedback on their work. Additionally, conversational English knowledge is required to participate in our project, as we communicate in English within our network.

Some basic filming equipment

A smartphone and a microphone or handheld recorder might be enough at first. Ideally, you already have some basic knowledge in video editing (or the motivation to teach yourself).

Time

Please consider that producing Easy Languages videos is a serious time investment. It takes between 10 and 20 hours to produce a single video. Our experience has shown that publishing at least one video per month is necessary for a channel’s success.

A team

You’ll need at least one other person to be able to produce episodes. If you don’t already know someone who you can work with, we might be able to connect you to potential partners.

Native speakers you can interview

You should live in the country where the language that you want to produce is spoken. You don’t need to be a native speaker of the language you are producing in yourself, but if you plan to be in front of the camera, you should be fluent.

How do I benefit as a co-producer?

If you have always dreamed of making languages, video production or podcasting your full time project, then Easy Languages is the right place for you. At Easy Languages you will become part of a network of professional content creators and language instructors who will help you establish your own production. You’ll benefit from our collective experience, as we’ll provide regular feedback on your work and invite you to our online and offline trainings. With over 2.5 million subscribers combined, our distribution channels and brand recognition will also give you a head start on your journey to become a successful creator.

Will I be able to make money?

Once you’re a regular producer, we’ll also make a plan on how to best monetize your production and make it sustainable. Our long-term goal is to enable all co-producers to turn their productions into full time or part time jobs, depending on what their personal goal is.
In the process, we will also figure out which business model applies best to you. As a co-producer of Easy Languages, you can either create your own franchise business within the Easy Languages network or start working with Easy Languages as a freelancer.

How do I become a co-producer?

We accept new co-producers on an irregular basis. If you’d like to be notified about the next round of applications, just leave your email address in the form below.

This is what you can expect during the process:

  1. Application: At first, we’ll ask you to answer a few written questions and to shoot a simple trial video about a specific subject.

  2. Online training: A selected group of candidates will be invited to join the Easy Languages Academy, which will take place over several weeks. In this time, you’ll get to know the Easy Languages team, learn more about video production and produce several episodes in your language.

  3. Selection: After the end of the training, we’ll discuss next steps with you and evaluate if you feel ready to become a regular producer with us.
